Dear ESP Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in teaching with the Elementary Spanish Program. Enclosed is an application for the position of instructor. Please complete it and return it to us at the address below at your earliest convenience, with a resume and any other pertinent information. Once we have received applications, we will contact the most qualified applicants to schedule interviews.
The Elementary Spanish Program (ESP) seeks teachers who first have a demonstrated ability to work with children of this age group and then also are proficient in Spanish.
ESP is a private, non-profit educational program whose purpose is to organize Spanish classes for young children in elementary schools. The premise of the program is that language learning is best begun at an early age, and is increasingly important to the education of all. ESP classes are primarily auditory and offer an opportunity for children to become familiar with the language in preparation for more detailed course offerings in secondary school. The program offers 10-week sessions in the fall and spring. Classes meet for 50 minutes, twice a week, ten weeks each semester. The pay for first-year teachers is $19-$30 depending on teaching experience with an opportunity for a pay raise depending on enthusiasm, performance and level of commitment.
Thank you again for your interest in the Elementary Spanish Program.
Download, print and fill the application forms listed here and send them by mail, e-mail or bring them the day of your interview.
