The ESP's mission is to bridge cultural barriers, educate young children, and prepare them for life in our world community through teaching Spanish.
Transportation Race
-
Using index cards, have your child draw one type of transportation on two different cards. Continue in the same fashion for each of the nine types of transportation noted in the vocabulary below.
-
Shuffle the deck and deal all cards out, alternating between the players.
-
Play begins with both players throwing a card face up in the space between the players. The player who identifies the faster mode of transportation and says it first in Spanish wins the pair and a point. For an extra point, that same player may identify the slower form of transportation from the pair in Spanish as well. If both players throw down the same type of transportation, the player to identify it first immediately receives two points.
-
Play continues in this fashion until all cards are gone. The player with the most points wins.
